Meet Lindsey, a personal stylist at John Lewis Oxford at Westgate Shopping Centre. I was kindly invited by the John Lewis & Partners team to come along an experience their Complete Style & Beauty Experience Gift.
This experience includes a 2-hour Personal Styling session in store of which they offer five different sessions - Holiday, Wardrobe Refresh, Workwear, Special Occasion or Perfect Pair of Jeans!
For the blog I opted for Special Occasion with the mindset that this may not necessarily be going out for the evening; it could be a casual date say for Valentines or maybe a lunch date for Mothering Sunday - so I was keen to find a number of different looks that would appeal across different ages but keeping 'an elevation of style' in mind with daywear for that special occasion.
We both hope you love the five looks we created together. Lindsey was keen to show off my hour-glass frame and with many of the outfits being separates, this gives you versatility to wear them with pieces from your existing wardrobe to ensure you get your cost per wear.
LOOK ONE - DATE NIGHT
Pink and red can brighten up an all-black vibe, mix shades of pinks and reds for that effortless chic vibe.

LOOK TWO - TONAL VIBE FOR CITY CHIC
Lindsey suggests if you opt for tonal (head to toe in one colour) then you really need to think about your textures - as many different variations as possible from leather, to wool to velvet and so on.
